The Key to Life Eternal
5th April 2006
Christ is praised for saving souls. / Mandela was jailed but later he rose /
To vanquish the violence in his native land / And became a great activist, leader, and man.
Mahatma fought for Global Peace, / While Martin used his views to lead
A March that filled our nation’s streets / And ended with a moving speech.
As nations rise and leaders fall / All generations will recall
The lives that lead this world to change / And those who’s impact still remains.
We’ve gained insight from leaders past / Who’s lives were large enough to cast
A shadow that could shroud the sky, / And in our hearts, they’ll never die.
So why should I desire less? /Indeed I have a simple quest…
To live, to love, to lead, to learn, / To share my heart ‘til I return
Into the Earth from whist I came / And after that, I shall remain
Upon the Earth, but not through fame; / Instead, inside each heart I came
In contact with each day I played / This Game of Life, and thus, I’ll stay
Alive through them, for then, I’ll gain / Eternal Life through lives I’ve made
An impact on during the span / Of my brief life — which proves a man
Can truly live forever when / The Love he’s shared can live again.
